The Dunkirk belfries are classified World Heritage Sites by UNESCO (Saint Eloi Belfry and City Hall Belfry).

To contemplate the city, climb to the top of the Saint Eloi Belfry and admire a panoramic view over the town.

Erected in 1440, it was the bell tower for the Saint-Eloi church until a terrible fire separated the two buildings in 1558. The bells are on the fifth floor. Renovated in 2009, it is made up of 50 bells and brings the town to life every quarter of an hour with popular melodies such as "la Cantate à Jean Bart" and "Talire Taloure". Your trip through time starts with a ride in the lift up to the bells and continues sixty steps further up on the viewing platform. On the Terrasse, 58 metres high, a toposcope presents Dunkirk's main monuments and cultural places in photos.
