Malo, the famous Dunkirk beaches
Every night, rays of light stream from Risban Lighthouse to caress me, illuminating my UNESCO-listed belfries and highlighting the long, sandy beaches of my coastline. It's in Malo that my coastal side truly stands out: not everyone is so lucky to enjoy seaside atmosphere every day! The lighthouse also had a front row seat when Christopher Nolan filmed his movie "Dunkirk" here in Malo. And its beams heighten the colours of the carnival that makes my heart race for two months out of the year.
Risban lighthouse lights up my new neighbourhoods and is the first to witness my architectural and cultural revolution, proving that I am a contemporary and audacious city that is resolutely turned towards the future. It is my light , my harbour's light, my emblem. It belongs to me, the beautiful and surprising city of Dunkirk.
