I am a proud town of fishermen. In fact, with my small fishermen's cottages, old lifeboat shelter and channel, some people say I've got a sort of Breton feel about me.
In August, vivid colours dot my horizon during our annual kite festival. It's an impressive sight!
I am also the gateway to the Platier d'Oye Nature Reserve. As you stroll along the pathways of Estran Park, you'll discover wet prairies and trails lined with sea buckthorn and dog-rose bushes. This is where we pick grasswort, or pickleweed, an unusual sort of seaweed that is actually a mild, salty and easy-to-cook vegetable.
As you can see, I'm quite resourceful and full of surprises that I can't wait to share with you!
