The Mémorial du Souvenir (Remembrance Memorial) tells the incredible story of the battle of Dunkirk and the evacuation of over 330,000 allied soldiers from the "Dunkirk pocket" during Operation Dynamo.
The Mémorial du Souvenir represents the Battle of Dunkirk and "Operation Dynamo" in May-June 1940, a huge operation evacuating 350,000 men to England.
A large collection of photographs, cards, and military equipment from the time enables visitors to get a better grasp of this important episode in the Second World War.
