Excursion in the great outdoors

You wake up in the morning in the mood for adventure, filled with an urge to explore, to head out into the great unknown. The first rays of the sun stretch across the sky. In front of you, the North Sea laps the white sand, the beach-grass ripples on the dunes and the wide tidal flats open out as far as the eye can see... To the South lies the Flemish countryside, dotted with farms and traditional pubs... and soon, you'll heading out, to explore Dunkerque Flandre Côte d'Opale.

If you like hiking, there's a wealth of diverse landscapes awaiting you: the Platier d'Oye nature reserve, for example, where migratory birds fly over the polders (wetlands), or the Dunes of Flandres, a 'Grand Site' on the shore with rare, protected wildlife and plants.

Those who love getting out and about in the great outdoors are simply spoilt for choice here. How about starting your day with an invigorating walk by the sea, then going for a round of golf at the Bois des Forts, followed by a guided nature tour or a swim in the wilds of Parc Galamé?
